Fundraising Information

Information Sessions:
Attend an informational session with a Walk staff member to learn how to get your fundraising underway. Click here for details and dates.

Fundraising Tools:
Log-in to MyHQ and click the community tab in Coach's Corner for tools to our Walk video, and more to make your fundraising efforts easy and effective.

Become a Pacesetter:
Walkers who raise at least $1,000 are known as Pacesetters. By pushing themselves to raise vital funds, these walkers change the odds for cancer patients everywhere.

Fundraising Requirements

Registration Fee*:
$20 is required at the time of registration ($40 if registering during event weekend)

*Please note that the registration fee does not count as part of the fundraising minimum requirement.

Fundraising Minimum:
All registered walkers are responsible for collecting the $250 fundraising minimum* by Nov. 1, 2009.

*For children 12 years-old on Walk day who participate in the Boston College 5-Mile and the Dana-Farber 3-Mile routes the fundraising minimum is $100.

Credit Card Policy: For those who do not raise the minimum
The $250 or $100 fundraising minimum is due by Nov. 1, 2009. Before registration is processed, all participants must agree to be personally responsible for the fundraising minimum. After Nov. 1, 2009, any balance due will be charged to the credit card submitted during registration.

Example: If a walker has only raised $200 by Nov. 1, 2009, the credit card that the walker registered with will be charged the remaining $50.


Fundraising Agreement:

All registered walkers must accept the terms of the Fundraising Agreement at the time of registration. The information in the agreement has been outlined above in the Fundraising Requirements section. To read the agreement click here.
