Walk Pacesetter
MDS Miles and Smiles, Three-Star Pacesetter Team
"We walk to pave the way for a brighter tomorrow for current Dana-Farber patients! Our corporate team (from the Massachusetts Dental Society) provides a great way to build new friendships and work towards a common goal: a world without cancer!"
Walk Team
JAH Walkers
"My husband is a cancer survivor thanks to the amazing care he received from the Jimmy Fund as a child. We walk to remember and recognize those that battle cancer, and to celebrate those that survived."
Corporate Walk Team
Boston Financial
"We walk, first and foremost, to fundraise for the Jimmy Fund. The Jimmy Fund Walk has become a wonderful way for co-workers to connect outside the office. Those who aren't walking have a chance to rally and support their co-workers' efforts in a meaningful way."
Virtual Walkers
Kim Salley, Team Bucky Rogers
"Because of our little Jimmy's arrival, Team Bucky Rogers was not able to physically participate. Our team has always vowed to raise awareness and monetary support for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber, so we continued the tradition as virtual walk participants so that our Jimmy, current Jimmys, and future Jimmys can see a world without cancer!"
Dana-Farber Employees
"We are a group of doctors, nurses, researchers, patient liaisons, and friends all involved in the Solid Tumor Service. Our team fundraises to support Solid Tumor research including next-generation gene sequencing, advancing cell-free DNA techniques, and clinical trials care."
Third Party Walk Event
Florrie Davidson, Two Star Pacesetter
"Jimmy Fund Walk Team Nicholas' Knights holds several group fundraisers each year to help all team members reach their fundraising goals. It’s also a great way to build team spirit, raise awareness about the walk and to have fun in the process."
Walk Patient
Dana Mendes, 2016 Jimmy Fund Walk Hero
"Being part of the Jimmy Fund Walk Hero Program opened my eyes to the heartwarming connections of people and the empowering environment that is the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber. It has sparked friendships for my family that will continue long after crossing the finish line. While undergoing treatment for myelodysplastic syndrome, I was always seen as an inspiration and hero for surpassing such a journey. But I say, it is the loving, caring, supportive, and impactful family that I made at the Walk that makes me see such people as the true inspiration and heroes for a survivor like me."
Walk Heroes
Kara Robbins Stoughton, 2016 Star Pacesetter
"Walking was a great way to celebrate finishing my most recent round of chemo—there was such joy and triumph at the finish line! We are honored to contribute to YAP and its vital, creative support of young adult cancer patients."
